I worked on Odyssey as a Quest Designer. I designed and scripted the Xenia Treasure Hunt quest line and the “Lost Tales of Greece: Image of Faith” DLC quest line. As a long time Assassin’s Creed fan and Greek dev, I was more than thrilled to be working on the project. I loved being able to help with inputs specifically about my culture and to contribute to an entry in the AC series I had been waiting for for years.
Xenia Treasure Hunt
As part of the Ubisoft Montreal studio support for Ubisoft Quebec’s project, we were tasked with creating side quest arcs for the game. The mandate for the Treasure Map quest arc was to send the players in interesting locations around the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that they might have not seen before.
First, I found interesting locations around the world that were not used by other quests. With our writer, we came up with a few treasure names and then scenarios for the player to stumble upon while hunting down those treasures.
Image of Faith
For the DLC quests, we were tasked with bringing more interesting side quests into the world of AC Odyssey. For “Image of Faith” the mandate called for a quest where the players find themselves worshiped as gods and with their involvement either chose to dispel or feed that image.
